What is the Network Monitoring?
mydatapage Ping Monitor will regularly ping the destination router/switch to check if it is available from monitoring servers located all over the world. Mydatapage can also monitor ports open on these items of network equipment to check if they are responding. If we detect problems with router/switch, we inform you via SMS/Email/RSS so you could immediately take necessary actions.
mydatapage Network Monitoring is an additional feature to your in-house monitoring tools and allows you to take a look from outside of your data center.
Mydatapage can generate various reports, including network availability reports, network performance reports, downtime reports and reports that assist in SLA Management. When we cannot reach a certain device from our monitoring server, we perform a trace-route analysis with Traceroute tool and send you the result together with email alert.
There is also a possibility to subscribe to daily/weekly reports on network availability. Reports include detailed up-time and downtime charts and total downtime particulars. The reports will show your server's availability over a certain period of time.
